Tooting Our Own Horn a Little Bit
Just when you thought you've heard everything there was to say about results of this year's Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), here's some additional data. And you can't help but like it.

As you know, the test scoring includes results in three academic "core" areas: reading, language and math. There's also a "composite" score which reflects combined performance in the core subjects.

Of the hundred St. Patrick children tested (grades 3 through 7), 36% earned a composite score in the 60th percentile or higher. That simply means those students scored better than 60% of all youngsters who took the test on a national basis. And of that group, 25% scored in the 70th percentile or higher and 11% at the 80th percentile or higher. We can be proud of that, don't you think?

Registration for 2010-11 School Year
Just a reminder, registration for the coming school year is well underway. Parents who register their children prior to March 31, will avoid a late fee of $100. Register now and avoid the Spring rush!!

Uniform Information for the 2010-11 School Year
Most uniform requirements for the new year will remain unchanged. Minor changes or additional options include the following:

Forest green polo shirts purchased through Educational Outfitters may be worn; however, the white polo shirts will still be permitted for the 2010-11 year. New navy blue St. Patrick School sweatshirts are available through Educational Outfitters. Older navy blue school sweatshirts may still be worn if they are in good condition. Solid colored black or white athletic shoes and navy blue pants will be required. As to spirit wear, spirit items purchased at Educational Outfitters will continue to be appropriate as will any St. Patrick School issued t-shirt or sweatshirt. P.E. uniform requirements will be the same as this past year for grades 5-8.

Rectory Hours
Rectory hours have been changed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

What are the 5 top lies circulating about St. Patrick School?

And, of course, the truth is: St. Patrick School pre-schoolers this coming year, will graduate from St. Patrick School in the year 2020. Believe it!

Thank you, and may God continue to bestow His Blessings upon our St. Patrick family,
